A native Texan, Phylis, began her adventure with art while in elementary school where she did two drawings/paintings that were displayed in the Children’s Art Museum. Since then she has followed a winding road that always involves some form of art. One of her dreams is currently in the works — a studio. “The Studio”, a little bit of heaven, is located in a rustic building by her home near Lake Weatherford. It is nestled between two meditation gardens that invite you to stay for awhile. This year, Phylis, has stepped out of her “box” and taken the plunge back into the world of stained glass. Having learned the technique over 26 years ago; she has designed a free-style cross, which is her signature piece. The studio is open by appointment only; but, she does hold Open Houses 3-4 times a year.
